Lemons are a rich source of vitamin C that boosts our immune system.
The third ingredient is raw honey, which provides natural antioxidants, antibacterial properties, and soothes coughs and sore throats.
The mint tea supports digestion, relieves tension, and clears congestion.
You can prepare these medicinal tea ball bombs ahead of time. Drop one into mint tea when you feel the first hint of cold symptoms or congestion; start drinking mint tea with a medicinal tea bomb added.
INGREDIENTS
- 5 lemons, washed, squeezed, and zested
- 1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger root, scrubbed and washed
- 1/4 cup raw honey
- 1/2 cup water
- Mint tea bags
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, ginger, raw honey, and water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight. For less potent bombs, fill the ice cube tray 1/2 way.
- When you’re ready to enjoy a soothing drink, steep a mint tea bag in a cup of boiling water for five minutes.
- Drop a frozen cube into the tea and stir until dissolved. Serve hot.
