You will be drooling over this scrumptious steak in 20 minutes. The trick to a melt-in-your-mouth, full-of-flavor steak is to season it and refrigerate it overnight. This allows the meat to start breaking down and the seasoning to penetrate deeply. I used raspberry marmalade, which made my sauce red.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick
- 2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
INSTRUCTONS
- Press pepper into both sides of the steaks. Place steaks on the rack in a broiler pan. The surface of the meat is 2 to 3 inches from the heat.
- Combine the marmalade, vinegar, and ginger. Brush the top of the steaks with half of the marmalade mixture.
- Broil steaks 10 to 15 minutes for rare (140℉), to medium (160℉). Turn once and brush the remaining marmalade to the steaks.
Serve with vegetables of your choice.
